Back to Blogging

After a few years of being mostly absent from this blog and website, I am happy to announce that I am back to blogging and can’t wait to share some of the projects I am currently working on and also projects that I have done over the last few years that never made it here.

After 7 years of using this website, I decided it was time to give Birdwing Paper Designs a new look and incorporate a favourite technique of mine, watercolour.

I have been dabbling in paper crafting and memory keeping for 15 years, and more recently digital design.  Many of my projects use Stampin’ Up! products and I have been a faithful customer of theirs since I was introduced to them in 2003.  Last month I finally decided to join the company as an Independent Demonstrator and be a point of sale for their amazing craft products.  Follow the link on the above SHOP page to go directly to the store!

With the updated website and new venture, it was also time to get new business cards.  And when I say “get”, what I really mean is “make”!  As a paper crafter, I must have handmade business cards!!

I simply used leftover Stampin’ Up! DSP (Designer Series Paper) sized to 3 1/2″ x 2″ and printed the business info on brown kraft labels from Martha Stewart.

The label was folded in half over the edge of the paper so the business name and description was on one side with contact info on the other.  Double-sided patterned paper makes this look especially great!

The advantage to making your own business cards is being able to make as many cards as needed!

Stay tuned for more project inspiration, tips and techniques, and product spotlights!  Make sure you are following the blog, Birdwing Paper Designs on Facebook, and @ellefedynak on Instagram (see tabs on sidebar) so you don’t miss out on anything!
