Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop – From My Heart Suite

Welcome to the first Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team Monthly Blog Hop for 2020!  My name is Leah and I am thrilled to be one of the new members on the Artisan Design Team.

Artisan Design Team - Stampin' Up!

I am excited to share a few projects created using the From My Heart Suite that can be found in the new January-June Mini Catalogue from Stampin’ Up!.

Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue 2020

The From My Heart Suite has everything you need to make Valentine’s Day projects: a stamp set, two heart punches, specialty DSP, satin ribbon, heart doilies, foil tins, and faceted gems.

From My Heart Suite - Stampin' Up!

Every year I make class treat packs for the kids, a card for my husband, and a new handmade decoration for our home, and this year I created all of it using this suite.

The first project was the kids treat pack. The best part about this project is that it’s simple enough for an older child to help stamp and decorate!

The hearts and greetings from the Heartfelt Stamp Set were stamped in Real Red and Gray Granite on Whisper White paper. The coordinating Heart punches were used to punch out the hearts.  Don’t forget to have the child sign their name on the “LOVE,” heart!

The Kraft Pillow Box was assembled, treats added, and the box was secured closed with the Real Red Double-Stitched Satin Ribbon. Then the hearts and greeting were adhered to box with SNAIL and Dimensionals. I placed the adhesive on either side of the ribbon so it could easily be removed without wrecking the decorations.

The second project was a fun, colourful Valentine garland that comes packaged in the Heart Foil Tin.

The Heart Doilies were used as the base for the garland and each one was decorated with an assortment of hearts punched from the From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper, cardstock (Whisper White, Flirty Flamingo, Real Red), and coordinating stamps. The hearts were then strung on a 5 ft long piece of linen thread to make the garland. (TIP: Run your nail along the length of the thread to loosen the curls so it lies flat.)

The final project was a sweet Valentine’s Day card. When I saw the dotted outline heart stamp in the Heartfelt stamp set, I knew I wanted to create string art.

The image was stamped in Gray Granite and every other dot was poked using a paper piercer. Then, using the Rose Metallic Thread and a needle, a pattern of lines was randomly sewn over the heart.

The finished heart string art was added to a card base layered with the Subtle embossing folder in Whisper White, From My Heart DSP, and a greeting stamped in Gray Granite.  It was embellished with coordinating Faceted Gems and a strip of red foil from the Heart Foil Tins.

  4. The string art is such an interesting take on the stamp set! Your garland is just adorable! So many pretty variations and then the lovely box to keep it in! Fantastic!

  5. I love this garland project! I may have to make one to have on hand for next year! How did you cut out the small inner hearts…punch, die, or fussy cut?
