Even though I have been making holiday cards since October, I find that I still need to make a few more before I can put away the Christmas stamps!! Today I wanted to share a set of holiday cards I made using a circular stencil, Stampin’ Up!’s new Blender Brushes, and a few stamps.
These cards are fun and easy to make with a simple circular stencil. I cut a few different sizes of circles out of thick cardstock with the Layering Circles Dies and used the open circle as a stencil.
Ink was added to the Blender Brush and gently blended onto Whisper White card stock in three different colours: Rich Razzleberry, Misty Moonlight, and Just Jade. I love the soft texture the brushes make on the paper when blended.
The first card blended all three colours on one large ornament with the Curvy Christmas trees stamped on it.
Then I created a trio of small ornaments stamped with a variety of small stamps also from Curvy Christmas. Don’t you love the little ribbon stamp from Tag Buffet added to the top of the ornaments?
And finally, a simple trio of medium sized ornaments that just needed a holiday greeting to finish it off.
I have loved making Christmas cards this year, but I must say that I am looking forward to the new January-June Catalogue and creating some new, spring-inspired cards!
