Well Suited Birthday Cards

I must admit, making cards for men is hard!! And I think it is so hard because I don’t make them very often – usually only for my husband’s, Dad’s, and father-in-law’s birthday and, of course, Father’s Day. And since I don’t make them often, I don’t have a lot of masculine stamp sets or paper. Last year I got my first manly stamp, die, and paper bundle from Stampin’ Up!, the Clubhouse Suite, and it was perfect for all the men in my life. They all loved the golf themed cards!!

This year’s January-June Mini Catalogue has yet another collection that is perfect for making masculine cards, the Well Suited Suite. I used it to make a birthday card for my father-in-law and a few extra to have on hand!

This is a quick and easy birthday card that mixes and matches the different Well Suited pattern paper.

I wanted the paper to standout on the tie, so I traced a simple black outline and cut it out with the Suit & Tie dies.

Then it was just a matter of layering the DSP on the card base, adding the tie, a birthday greeting from Handsomely Suited, and a few silver metallic pearl embellishments.

These cards are so quick to put together that you can have a handful of masculine birthday cards ready in no time!! I can’t wait to play with this set some more and make Father’s Day cards!
