In January I started a scrapbook challenge called Project 52 which invloves creating a scrapbook page every week for a year.  I have been faithfully doing this for the last seven months and I thought I would start sharing the pages here.

This week we went to this cool dinosaur park just outside of Edmonton called Jurassic Forest. It was perfect for our little kids: not too scary, and a beautiful nature walk.  I would highly recommend it!

In Business

I am offiicially in business!  Well on paper anyway!  I now have my business license and Birdwing Paper Designs is a reality.  I still have a lot of work to get done before I can actually start taking orders for personal photobooks and I will let you know when that happens.

For now, I will leave you with the unveiling of my logo and watermark.

Modern Press

The Modern Press photobook was created and printed within five days!  I told you I was obsessed with digital scrapbooking!!  I was working with such great products that the ideas and pages were coming out really fast.  I have sent this book off to a few printers to see which place produces the nicest book.  I will let you know how they turn out.

I had a few favorite pages from this book, but I thought I would share this one of Casey because I love the photo!  For a few more samples, go to Photobooks-Family.

One Step At A Time

Could you believe that a girl who once hated computers is actually writing her first blog and trying to understand the digital world?  There is no one more surprised about this than me.  I don’t think I would even be attempting this feat if it weren’t for my husband who understands computers and works with them all day long.  He has had to explain a lot of things to me!!

What got me interested in this foreign world was a Christmas gift I received from my husband two years ago.  I had asked for the digital scrapbooking software  “My Digital Studio” by Stampin’ Up to see what it was like.  I loved it as soon as I started and I was soon hooked on scrapbooking.  It was so easy to use and there was nothing to clean up afterward, just shut down!  My first pages were pretty simple and as I wanted to learn more about the program, I was forced to learn more about computers.  I had no idea what the difference was between a jpeg and a png file, and I didn’t really care.  I know what it is now, but there is still so much to learn.  I will try to figure it out, one step at a time!  For today, I am learning how to create my blog and do my first post.

So I thought I would show my favorite scrapbook page of mine which I made for Valentine’s Day featuring my two babies.
