It has been a few months since I last posted about Stampin’ Up!’s Paper Pumpkin kits, but I just had to share the kit for May 2020, A Kit In Color! This Paper Pumpkin kit is absolutely amazing and, like its title implies, it is FULL of colour!!
This kit was even more exciting because it introduces 4 of the 5 new In Colours for 2020-2022: Bumblebee, Just Jade, Magenta Madness, and Misty Moonlight. It was designed to make 12 cards in total, 4 each of 3 designs with coordinating envelopes.
But, of course, I can’t make just 12 cards with all this gorgeous colour! Read on to discover how I made 20 cards from this kit!
The key to getting the most cards out of a Paper Pumpkin kit is to save some of the embellishments and cutouts for the extra cards. For example, the recipe for the cloud card used three clouds on it, but it looked great with only two.
I then used the third one on a brand new card with the rainbow stamp as a background.
The kit also came with a supply of cute asterisk puffy stickers in different colours to use as embellishments on the cards. I reduced the number of stickers on the predesigned cards so I would have enough left over to use on another original card.
Don’t you love this big “hey” stamp as a background?!!
The final two cards from the kit were similar to the predesigned cards with small changes to make them my own! This fun rainbow card had some extra stamps added to the background…
…and the smaller “you’re amazing” card simply changed orientation.
Instead of just 12 colourful cards, I was able to create a total of 20 cards from this Paper Pumpkin kit, 4 each of 5 designs. In addition to the exclusive stamp set included in the kit, I also used the stamp set from the December 2019 Paper Pumpkin Kit, Something For Everything. They worked beautifully together to create a set of cards perfect for any celebration!
A Kit In Color was so popular it sold out, but you can still enjoy these cards by purchasing the above 5 card bundle directly from me for $20 CDN. Since I still have my Etsy store on pause, simply email me at lfedynak@gmail.com for more info and to order.
