Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop – Trimming The Town Suite

Hello!! Welcome to Birdwing Paper Designs! I’m Leah from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and I can’t wait to share the latest projects from the Artisan Design Team!

The September blog hop showcases two new suites from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalogue: Poinsettia Place and Trimming The Town Suite. I am excited to share some great projects from one of my favorites, Trimming The Town Suite.

My favourite stamp in the Coming Home stamp set is the little car. I have used it on several cards already, so I had to use it again for this blog hop!

I envisioned this red car driving through a wintery forest on its way home for the holidays. I found the perfect tree paper in Trimming The Town DSP and cut the road from another sheet of DSP. Then, using a third sheet of DSP, I cut out the sentiments! It turned out just how I imagined!!

The other card used the Home Together Dies to create a wavy opening on the card for the cute, winter people scene to peek through. I embossed the Whisper White card stock with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder to give the card a snowy, white Christmas feeling. The little house with a heart is from the same set of die cuts and, once again, the sentiments are cut from the DSP.

The final items in this collection of wintery projects are the house tags. The stamped images of the houses were coloured with Stampin’ Blends and glued to a corresponding die cut tag. Each tag was finished with a decoration (wreath, tree, and lamp) and ribbon from All The Trimmings Ribbon Pack.

These tags would look so cute hanging from a gift bag or small present!!

I hope these projects get you into the holiday mood to start creating cards and paper crafts for Christmas. After all, there is only 3 more months until Christmas!!!
