For this month’s blog hop, we are sharing projects using In The Pines Bundle from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalogue. This bundle (In The Pines stamp set and Pine Woods Dies) is all about pine trees and makes for a great wintery forest!

For the two cards I created with this bundle, I used Shaded Spruce, Just Jade, and Mint Macaron to colour the trees and added some cute characters from the Warm & Toasty stamp set.

The first card has a tree-filled background stamped with three different sized trees in three shades of green. The biggest trees in the foreground had an extra treatment of sparkle with the Frost White Shimmer Paint. I simply painted it on with a dry Water Painter over the stamped image. The close up image below really highlights the shimmer.

I finished the card off with a cute polar bear coloured using Watercolour Pencils and a Blender Pen, a sentiment embossed in white on Basic Black cardstock, and a few Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes.

The second card is a wintery shaker card with a similar background to the first card. The scene was inspired by a snow globe with the Snowflake Sequin-filled window forming the globe and the greeting becoming the base. There are a couple of die cut pine trees framing the window and a pair of cute mice to finish off the card.

I hope these projects inspired you to get started on your holiday cards or gave you some ideas to make even more cards. After all, if you are mailing cards to friends and family for the holidays, they should be in the mail next month!
