‘Tis the season to be busy making holiday cards!! I don’t know how many I have made so far, but somehow I keep getting more ideas in my head and continue to make more!!
Today I wanted to share a couple of cards that I made using watercolours. I had painted a sheet of watercolour paper back in the summer with plans to use it, but it ended up just sitting in my “waiting for an idea” pile.

As I started making holiday cards, I realized the colourful paper would be great die cut into circles and used as ornaments! The colours (Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana) were not traditional Christmas colours which is what really makes these cards stand out!

I used the Stitched Shapes Dies to cut out the main ornament shape and hand cut the Silver Foil Sheet to make the metal topper. The lines in the topper were made using the Scoring Tool and the ornament was tied with a Linen Thread bow.

Both cards used stamps and dies as greetings from one of my favourite holiday bundles this year, Peace & Joy Bundle.

It was fun to break away from the traditional reds and greens of Christmas for these holiday cards. What other colours do you like to use when making cards at Christmas time?

P.S. Only 32 more days until Christmas!
