I love receiving the Paper Pumpkin Kits from Stampin’ Up! every month, but I especially love getting the holiday themed ones in time to make Christmas cards. The October 2021 kit, Peaceful Christmas, is filled with black and white winter scenes with pops of red (Real Red) and green (Shaded Spruce).

I didn’t quite follow the instructions for the for the kit, but used the samples as inspiration to create my own. By cutting down the images, using all the vellum pieces, and adding some extra greetings I was able to make 5 each of 4 different cards for a total of 20 holiday cards!

To make the kit go farther, I used the vellum trees on one card and the leftover vellum sheet on another. The beautiful winter scenes were card bases, but I cut them in half to use as backgrounds instead. That way I ended up with 10 backgrounds instead of 5 card bases. I am always thinking of how to stretch the kit products to make more cards!!

The Noel card was a fairly simple card with a repeating tree stamp for the background, the silver Noel and red paper from the kit, an extra little greeting to add some white, and finished off with a twine bow.

The final card I made used up the second piece of winter paper and featured the silver trees from the envelopes included in the kit. I simply cut a strip from the envelope and used it as a pop of green on the card.

If you aren’t already signed up to receive the monthly Paper Pumpkin Kit, you really should!!
