Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop – Posted For You Bundle

Hello!! Welcome to Birdwing Paper Designs! I’m Leah from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and I can’t wait to share the latest… and last monthly project from the 2020 Artisan Design Team!

Our final blog hop for 2020 showcases a beautiful bundle from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue, Posted For You.

Even though it is only a week until Christmas, I am going to break out of holiday mode for this blog and share some colourful everyday cards!

My birthday card supply has been neglected for the last few months, so the first card I made was a Happy Birthday one. I started with a layer of watercolours painted with Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green, and Coastal Cabana ink. To give the watercolour a deeper colour, I used Sponge Daubers to add more ink and highlighted parts of the stamp with coordinating watercolour pencils. I then embossed the pretty flower stamp over top in white. To add a little interest, I framed the watercolour paper with vellum that was repeatedly punched with the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch.

The second card, a small square one, also has a watercolour background but this time on individual postage stamp pieces. I swirled the Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon in behind the punched paper and framed it with vellum on a Basic Gray card base.

This is such a sweet bundle and it is the perfect one to add a touch of spring to your cards this winter!
