It has been a very cold February here in Edmonton and the cold weather has forced the family to spend more quality time indoors this month. Anyone with young children knows how much fun it is to be cooped up in a small house with these little bundles of energy!! Thank goodness for the Olympics because for two weeks solid we cheered on the Canadian athletes and made lots of Olympics crafts. With Valentine’s Day in this month as well, we were able to spend oodles of time making cards for friends at school.
The most exciting thing we did was decide to take the kids on a trip to Disneyland in the very near future! So when it was too cold to go outside and play we would research all the fun and fantastic things we could do at Disneyland. It was a great distraction from the weather!
This February page for our family photo book was made using the digital kit “Hello 2014 – Winter Edition” that is currently a free download on the BWPD Facebook page.
This kit will only be available on Facebook for a little while longer because it will soon be spring (don’t let the cold weather talk fool you!) and the Hello 2014 – Spring Edition will be coming out in March. Here is a sneak peak:
The spring edition will consist of 6 – 12×12 papers, 4 – 4×6 cards, 8 3×4 cards, 1 alphabet, 3 buttons, and the raindrop shapes. The full spring kit will be available for download after March 5, 2014, so check the blog or Facebook for updates.
Until then, stay warm and make some crafts!
