At the beginning of the year, I highlighted a 2019 DIY calendar that I made for my office desk. It was a pretty calendar with flowers, shades of pink, black and white photos of the kids, and inspirational words. My husband liked it too, but commented that he didn’t want the calendar for his office to be so girly!
Well, lucky for him, I happened to have a second Memories and More Card Pack, Perfect Days (retired), from Stampin’ Up! . The coordinating packs of cards with an assortment of stickers and overlays was the perfect way to dress up his calendar!
Along with the more masculine colours, he also requested to have photos on every month (I guess he isn’t one for inspirational quotes!), and to include colour with the black and white photos. I only had 6 images from Baby Bee Photography, so I used 6 in colour and the same six in black and white.
Since the photos are several months apart in the calendar, it shouldn’t be too obvious that I used duplicates!
Here is the rest of the calendar:
I also added a subtle reminder of the family’s birthdays with a small, coloured circle on the date, as seen in the above photo.
He didn’t want too many hearts on it either, but it was so hard to not add them! I restrained myself and only put a few on.
Once again, the calendar base and cute wooden holder was from Lasting Moments Co. I love this style of calendar and she has so many other great products on Etsy – go check her out!
Now that the calendars are completed, I have lots of the Memories and More cards leftover that will be used to make greeting cards. Watch for that post closer to the spring!
