Last March I hosted my first kids card class over the spring break and loved connecting with the neighbourhood kids and teaching them about card making!

After the success of the first class, I taught two more classes during the summer break, one in July and one in the beginning of August.  Each class was targeted for 9-12 year olds and challenged them to learn new techniques used in card making.

The class in July highlighted different methods of colouring: using watercolour pencils and the Blender Pen, Stampin’ Write markers, and watercolour painting with the Aqua Painter.

August’s class was all about using punches (circles and balloons) and dies (rainbow and clouds) to cut out fun images from card stock.

All the kids did such a good job with their cards and were super proud of their creations!!  Now they are all stocked up on colourful birthday cards for the next few months.
