Last March I hosted my first kids card class over the spring break and loved connecting with the neighbourhood kids and teaching them about card making!
After the success of the first class, I taught two more classes during the summer break, one in July and one in the beginning of August. Each class was targeted for 9-12 year olds and challenged them to learn new techniques used in card making.
The class in July highlighted different methods of colouring: using watercolour pencils and the Blender Pen, Stampin’ Write markers, and watercolour painting with the Aqua Painter.
August’s class was all about using punches (circles and balloons) and dies (rainbow and clouds) to cut out fun images from card stock.
All the kids did such a good job with their cards and were super proud of their creations!! Now they are all stocked up on colourful birthday cards for the next few months.
If you would like to add some of these cards to your collection, I am selling 5 bundles of assorted birthday cards. Each bundle consists of 5 cards with clear envelopes and is $20.00 CDN. Please email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) or leave a comment with the bundle # that you would like. For orders outside of Edmonton, shipping charges will be added.
If you weren’t able to attend a class, but would like to know about future classes, be sure to sign up for the monthly newsletter! Or email me at email@example.com if you would like to host a class of your own with friends.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support my card making by coming to the classes, buying cards, or shopping Stampin’ Up! products through my store! It means so much to have the support of friends, family, and the community.
Enjoy the last few weeks of summer!
