A few weeks ago, I was shopping at a home decor store and saw these cute, fall inspired, decorated wood frames.  They looked easy enough to make and I thought to myself, “I don’t need to buy it, I can make it myself.”  I figured all it required were a few products from Stampin’ Up! and a wood gallery panel.

I easily found a 1.5″ thick wood panel in a 5″ x 7″ size at a local art store and couldn’t wait to get decorating!

I was looking through my crafting stash and realized I didn’t have a lot of fall products!  Ugh… now what to do?  Coincidently, that very afternoon I received the August 2019 Paper Pumpkin Kit, The Gift of Fall, in the mail.  What luck!!

There was so much amazing fall inspiration in this kit and so many options for projects like gift bags, cards, or… framed fall home decor!

You may remember the cute little gift bag from last week’s post which was from this kit.  I tucked the rest of them away to be used for Christmas!

As I worked on the fall frames, I took inspiration from the suggested designs that came with the kit instructions as well as the alternate card designs.

I created this design on a piece of Crumb Cake card stock that was cut just a little under 5″ x 7″ so some of the wood frame would be visible from the front.  Then I used the Tear & Tape to adhere it to the solid frame.

I love that the frames are thick enough to simply stand on their own on a table top or shelf.

Each Paper Pumpkin kit also comes with an exclusive stamp set.  Some of my favourite stamp sets have been from a kit and this months set will become a favourite too!

I made a few frames since there was so much product to use in the kit.  The next fall frame used the berry stamp on a Pretty Peacock background and was lightly coloured for a tone on tone look.

And the third wood frame used a watercolour background with coordinating colours (Merry Merlot, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Mint Macaron, and Pretty Peacock) and was embossed with gold berries.

The sentiment for this one came from the February 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit and was the perfect inspiring set of words I was looking for!

These wooden frames provide just the right amount of fall to a home and are so easy to add in to your home decor.
