Now that the celebrations of Christmas and New Years are over and the decorations are almost all put away, it is time to settle into reality… it’s January and spring won’t be arriving in Alberta for at least 3 months! We don’t have any warm winter vacations planned and I will be hiding from the freezing cold in my craft room! (It’s going to be -30C next week!!) Thank goodness I have the new Peaceful Poppies Suite from Stampin’ Up! to brighten my day!
In the middle of winter, I love being surrounded by vibrant, colourful spring flowers and the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper (DSP) is just what I need!
This gorgeous paper inspired me to create a custom 2020 calendar.
The 5″ x 7″ desk top calendar was designed by Lasting Moments Co and her background patterns work perfectly with this suite.
I also love that the back side of the calendar has a spot to write down birthdays or monthly notes.
To personalize the calendar I added the floral DSP, 6 family photos, stamped flowers from the Painted Poppies stamp set, sentiments from the Peaceful Moments stamp set, and leaves from the coordinating Poppy Moments Dies.
I love how this calendar brightens up the office!
If you would like to create a calendar like this and are in the Edmonton area, then join me and calendar designer, Lisa, for a class in my studio on Sunday, January 19, 1-3 pm. For a $40 class fee, you will get the calendar, 12 pieces of 4″ x 6″ Peaceful Poppies DSP (2 each of 6 designs), and we will provide all the supplies to complete the calendar in class. If you are adding photos to the calendar, print them, bring to the class, and be prepared to trim them down to about 3×4, 3×3, or 2×3.
To register for the class, please email me at lfedynak@gmail.com or Lisa at lisadmacintyre@gmail.com. Spaces are limited.
If you have a group of 3 or more friends and would like a private class at an alternate date and time, let me know.
All Stampin’ Up! supplies used in this project can be purchased from my store.
