Welcome to Birdwing Paper Designs! I’m Leah from Edmonton, Alberta and I can’t wait to share our latest monthly project for the 2021Artisan Design Team!

One of the cutest sets from the January-June Mini Catalogue is the Sweet Strawberry Bundle, and it also pairs with the Berry Blessings stamp set and Berry Delightful DSP in the Sale-A-Bration promotion. Both sets are on the top of my list as new favourites, so I was delighted to get to work with them for this project!

The first card used just the Sweet Strawberry Bundle which includes the Sweet Strawberry stamp set and the Strawberry Builder Punch.

I stamped the background leaves and flowers in Garden Green and arranged a series of red and pink strawberries on top. (Colours from Left to Right: Blackberry Bliss, Cherry Cobbler, Poppy Parade, Calypso Coral, and Flirty Flamingo.) The strawberries were stamped with the outline, then the filler stamp, and finally a Blender Pen was used to smooth the texture of the strawberry. To have the seeds stand out more, I traced them with the coordinating Stampin’ Write Marker. The berries were then punched out with the Strawberry Builder Punch.

The second card used the Sweet Strawberry Bundle with the Berry Delightful DSP from the Sale-A-Bration promotion, and doesn’t even have any berries on it! I used the leafy DSP for the background and punched out little flowers from another sheet of DSP. I wanted the centers of the flowers to match the Blackberry Bliss greeting, so I just went over it with the Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write Marker. The green and white leaves and flowers were stamped and fussy cut to add another layer to the card.

The final card was a combination of Strawberry Builder Punch, Berry Blessings stamp set, and Berry Blessings DSP. The latter two products come as a set and are free with the purchase of $120 CDN or more.

I used the DSP as the background again and punched out the blue flowers from the same paper used in the previous card. Blueberries and blackberries were stamped with the two-step stampin method and the smoother again with the Blender Pen.

You may not have noticed the twine used on all three cards, but it is the Misty Moonlight/Silver Baker’s Twine just separated into silver, white, and blue. I used one of the colours on each card!
