Easter is quickly approaching this year and I managed to make a few Easter projects this weekend. My current Easter decor consists of plastic eggs, kid-made crafts from when they were toddlers, and a free printable bunny in a frame! All the decor was looking a little sad, so it was time for an upgrade! I decided to make a new bunting to hang in the dining room and also created a last minute Easter card with some of the leftovers.

Ever since I made cute succulent bunting (see post here), I have been a bit obsessed with making them! I might even make one for each holiday this year… starting with Easter!!

To make this Happy Easter bunting I combined current and retired Stampin’ Up! products. The current products I used were the Springtime Joy stamp set coloured with Stampin’ Blends, Playful Alphabet Dies, Pearl Basic Jewels, and Blushing Bride Baker’s Twine. The DSP used for the background is a retired paper, Best Dressed, and the Starburst punch is also retired.
I pulled colours from the DSP to be the main focus for “HAPPY EASTER” – Purple Posy, Petal Pink, Daffodil Delight, and Old Olive. Each letter was die cut from the punched paper and backed with white card stock so it stood from the background. Some of the letters were accented with stamps from Springtime Joy along with the Easter basket that makes up the space between words!

The letters that were die cut from the punched card stock could not be wasted, of course, so I also made a coordinating card!

Now I am getting closer to being ready for Easter with some new decor and a handmade card to give to our friends that we would normally be celebrating Easter with (darn COVID!!). Hopefully next year we will be able to celebrate the holiday with our friends and family!
Happy Easter!!
