I have been checking my mailbox with anticipation everyday for the last month waiting to receive the Creating Keepsakes magazine that features one of my albums. It finally arrived last week and I couldn’t wait to see what it looked like. I … Continue reading
I was so excited to receive the Winter 2012 Canadian Scrapbooker magazine last week and search through the pages for my layout. It took me a while to find it in the 144 pages of the magazine, but there it was … Continue reading
I decided to take a little break from Christmas cards and photobooks today and focused on snow instead. Mostly shovelling it, but also a little but of fun in it! It is hard not to like the snowy weather when you … Continue reading
The one thing I have complained about all year is the terrible pictures my camera takes! Do you know how hard it is to make a nice layout with crummy photos? Well, let’s just say it is not any fun!! So my wonderful husband searched all the Boxing Day deals and bought me a new camera. We now have the Canon Rebel T3i and I am in love with it. I barely know how to use it but the pictures it takes are amazing!! I am excited to scrapbook one again now that I have some great photos to work with. Here is a layout of a photo I took with Robyn and her Grandpa Kennedy:
Also, I am still giving away the free Wall Art from my previous post. All you have to do is “Follow” my blog at the end of this post.
Earlier this year one of my scrapbook pages was accepted for publishing in Canadian Scrapbooker. This was the first time I have ever submitted my work to a magazine and I was thrilled when it was accepted. The magazine just hit the shelves yesterday and I am super excited! It is a winter themed page that features the photography of my sister-in-law, Amber, when she and her husband were visiting a few years ago.
I was selected as a finalist in the Stampin’ Up My Digital Studio contest. I had to create a card and a scrapbook page and was 1 of 10 finalists chosen from thousands of entries in Canada and U.S. I would love to show you the entries, but they are now property of Stampin’ Up and I am not allowed to post them. I was very proud of my entry and was honoured to be chosen as a finalist. Unfortunately the winners were decided by voting on mydigitalstudio.net, and I was out by just 8 votes! Thank you to everyone who voted for me and I still get to walk away with $125.00 in downloads.
