Last week I had a tutorial on how to export cards created from the Collect App and use them to make a really simple, but trendy photo book. But what if you just want to use one card and build a scrapbook layout around it?
There is a much quicker way to export single cards from your phone: In the Collect App calendar of photos select photo/card to export. Select the “share” icon in the bottom left corner and there will be several options for how to share the card (mail, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Dropbox, Flickr, and camera roll). When the camera roll option is pressed the card is immediately sent to the photos on your phone. Then just hook up the phone to the computer and import the card into your favourite photo organizing/editing software.
When exporting this simple way, the cards turn out a bit different and there are no options for size.
For scrapbooking, I liked the look of the card done with the quick export so I used it as is to create a layout.
Using the Collect App card on a layout gives you a picture, date, and journalling all on one card which is a great starting point for scrapbooking those everyday moments. This layout used the digital kit “Hello Friend” from One Little Bird Designs.
How will you use the Collect App cards?
