Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team – Ranunculus Romance Bundle

Hello… and welcome to Birdwing Paper Designs! If it’s your first time visiting my blog, my name is Leah and I’m a member of the 2022 Artisan Design Team for Stampin’ Up!. Every month we create projects using Stampin’ Up! products and this month I am using the Ranunculus Romance Bundle.

The fun (and creative) part about being on the team is trying to use a product you wouldn’t normally use and making it work for your style. I don’t normally work with artistic or vintage looking stamps, but I was up to the challenge with Ranunculus Romance and I love how these two cards turned out!

For the first card, I created my own background by stamping the ranunculus stamp in Smoky Slate in a circular pattern around the edge of the card. I added a pink, circle die cut from the Symbols of Fortune Designer Series Paper and layered the leaf on top in vellum. This leaf die cut is my favourite in the Ranunculus Dies! Finally, I added the three “HELLO” stamps in Pale Papaya, Flirty Flamingo, and Mint Macaron.

The second card turned out to be one of my favourite cards ever!! I love this striped background (using Pale Papaya, Flirty Flamingo, and Mint Macaron once again) and I layered it with the same DSP, leaf die cut, and vellum as in the first card.

I embellished both cards with Polished Dots and the silver Metallic Mesh Ribbon. To get more use out of the 1 1/2″ Metallic Mesh Ribbon, cut it lengthwise into thinner strips. The ribbon holds its shape very well after being cut and can be used as a subtle silver accent on projects.
