Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team – Your Biggest Fan Bundle

Happy April 1 everyone!! I am not a fan of April Fool’s Day, so there is no joke about this blog post… today’s project is a mini album!! I think I have only made one mini album before and it was way back when my kids were babies!

The album I am sharing today was created for the Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team. I had to use Your Biggest Fan Bundle of stamps and dies and NOT pair it with the coordinating Hey Sports Fan Designer Series Paper (DSP). Since the stamps are geared towards Dads, I decided to turn a Father’s Day card into a mini album filled with pictures of the kids and paired it with the Heart & Home DSP.

This mini album is like a giant card with 6 sides inside to decorate and write notes to Dad. I used three Heart & Home Cards to create the base of the album and used coordinating DSP to help join all the cards together to make it an accordion style book.

Let’s take a closer look at the pages!

Upon opening the album, the first page is a sweet photo of Robyn with a note to her Dad. I chose more masculine patterns of paper and this woodgrain pattern was one of my favourites. The large ticket stub die in the Sports Fan Dies frames the photo perfectly and I added the arrow accent with Mother Of Pearl Specialty Paper. The “R” is from the Playful Alphabet Dies and was stamped with the stripe stamp in Misty Moonlight.

The next page features a colour photo of the kids on one side and a small shaker window on the other side. The shaker is filled with Sparkle & Shine Sequins and decorated with a couple flags, a stamped greeting, Linen Thread Bow, and silver Metallic Pearls. The pops of Cinnamon Cider colour matches the photo perfectly!

To add subtle texture to the photo, I embossed a window sheet with the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the photo. I used a small strip of Stampin’ Seal+ under the label to hold the window sheet in place. I love how it gives a shimmery look but isn’t too feminine!

The final pages have my favourite photos of Casey! All the photos in this album were taken by my friend (and talented photographer), Roberta, of Baby Bee Photography. She has taken some of the most amazing photos of our family!

I used the stars die to create an accent piece on Casey’s photo as well as sprinkling the stars throughout the album. The stars were cut from the Mother Of Pearl paper as well to give a slightly sparkly, off white touch. I also used the left over piece of embossed Window Sheet in behind the photo. The blue background on this page was actually the inside of one of the Heart & Home Envelopes that came with the cards. It was the perfect colour for this project and just had to be added!

I couldn’t leave the back of the album blank and had to add a little handmade tag to it with a Handmade For You Stamp. The tag also hides the adhesive and tape used to secure the Misty Moonlight Cotton Ribbon.

And if that wasn’t enough, I also decorated a Kraft Gift Box to be the “envelope” for this card/album.

I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the little details I added to this Father’s Day mini album. This was a work of love and I plan to keep it forever!
