We have this one giant, beautiful tree in our backyard and every year at the beginning of August the leaves start to turn yellow. It happens early, but that is the first sign that fall is just around the corner! Another sign, is the arrival of fall themed craft supplies!!
The Gingham Cottage Suite Collection from Stampin’ Up! is a great set to make the transition from summer to fall to winter crafting. Have a look below at all the goodies that comes in the Suite: Cottage Wreaths stamp set, Country Wreaths Dies, Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper (DSP), Silver-Threaded Twine, and Pearlized Enamel Effects Basics.

I created a card and a gift bag with these products and chose a colour palette that bridged the gap between summer and fall. I used So Saffron, Pale Papaya, Blushing Bride, and Smoky Slate. For both projects I also used the Stars Treat Bags as a feature element.

For the card, I cut the front off the bag and used the stars as a background over the yellow gingham DSP. I layered yellow, orange, and pink stamped and die cut leaves and finished it off with a grey greeting. The twine was separated into the individual fibres and used as-is under the greeting.

To add some sparkle, I picked out the glittery sequins from the For Everything Fancy Sequins, and then added dots of Pearlized Enamel Effects in white.
QUICK TIP: If you are afraid to commit to the placement of the Pearlized Enamel Effects, use loose pearls to mock up the placement first. Then, with the putty tip of the Take Your Pick Tool in one hand, remove the pearl and add a drop of Pearlized Enamel Effects with the other hand.

For the second project, I made a cute little gift bag with the Stars Treat Bag that measures 3.5″ x 5.25″. I blended So Saffron ink on the front and stamped some little leaves. The die cut wreath was ink blended with Blushing Bride and Pale Papaya on watercolour paper to give it a little texture.

I used the Silver-Threaded Twine to add handles and lined the inside of the bag with DSP to hide the ends and adhesive. I also added some extra colour to the DSP with Stampin’ Blends.

I love how versatile the Gingham Cottage Suite Collection is and can’t wait to start making some Christmas cards with it! Be sure to visit the Stampin’ Up! Facebook Page and see what the other Artisan designers have created with this product!
