Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team – Window Wishes Bundle

I know it’s only the beginning of September, but I just had to make some wintery/holiday cards with the lovely Window Wishes Bundle from Stampin’ Up!. I guess I could have made fall cards, but when I made them, I was in the mood for Christmas! The Window Wishes Bundle consists of the Window Wishes Stamp Set and the coordinating Window Dies. (Visit my Stampin’ Up! store to purchase.)

I made these cards with a story in mind – staying over at Grandma’s house for Christmas. One card is looking out the window into the neighbourhood, and the other one looking in Grandma’s window from outside.

For the card looking out the window, I wanted to create an interactive snowy scene and made the window part into a shaker card with Sparkle & Shine Sequins. The winter scene has stamped and die cut house, trees, and car with the snow cut from appropriately named Snowy White Velvet Sheets. I also used the Tea Boutique DSP around the window as Grandma’s wallpaper.

For the window looking into Grandma’s house, I gave the outside of the house a stone texture with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder and distressed the white paper with a little bit of Grey Granite ink. The room we are looking into is the dining room with pink wallpaper, and has a table decorated with candles.

The outside of the window is decorated with a swag of Christmas greenery in Granny Apple Green, and the window sill is covered in that velvet snow.

QUICK TIP: Here is how to get an accurate stamped image to die cut: line up the stamp on the die cut, press the stamp onto a clear block, stamp image on card stock, and then die cut. The result is a perfectly lined up image as seen below!

I cannot wait to make some more window scenes, including a fall one!! If you want some more inspiration with this bundle, be sure to visit the Stampin’ Up! Facebook Page and see what the other Artisan designers have created!
